Here’s Denise Van Erven Dorens, co-founder and managing partner of Private DietBox, with her introductions about what Private DietBox is all about and what you need to know about their services in Switzerland. Over to you Denise…

Our little start-up, Private Dietbox™, was founded in September 2012 based on our own needs. We are two Swiss women in our mid-thirties, who have struggled for years with our weight. In the past, we often talked about the latest diets and fitness activities we were on or trends we heard of, but until then we could not find a successful long-term solution. So, we spontaneously decided to create our own gourmet diet food delivery company to finally have the solution that fit our own requirements. founders
We did not want to offer packet food, shakes or meal replacement bars as known from other diets as this approach is just too artificial and unbalanced for us. Besides the fact that we knew we could not stick to such a diet in the long-term.  For us, it is important to make good food, but not just ordinary good food. It has to be real, fresh, healthy food with no preservatives or additives that is daily fresh prepared which can then be shipped to our clients.
Our programs aim to make you healthier, more energetic, more fit and should also make you feel better about yourself. As we see sport as an essential element in the process, we worked closely together with an experienced team of sport coaches, sport physician and nutritionist in order to create our own weight loss program. We also don’t believe in restrictions, as we know that it will have a boomerang effect in the future and can create “pinch eating” or even worse make you go off the diet as you are just too tired of the diet and you are missing too much your loved food. Our weight loss plan follows a Low Glycemic Index (GI) diet which measures the effects of carbohydrates on blood sugar levels and helps deliver prolonged energy. By eating low GI foods, you feel fuller for longer and are therefore, not as likely to snack and to overeat. Low Glycemic Index diet may also help prevent conditions like diabetes and heart diseases. Furthermore, it is also used by many endurance athletes because of its fulfilling effect. Based on our own experience, we also believe in the benefits of detoxing, a process that limits the toxins entering the body, and supports and enhances the body’s ability to remove stored toxins, to give your body a digestive rest, boost your metabolism and enhance the anti-ageing effect. slide_2_new_january

Putting all these factors together, we today offer a real, fresh, healthy weight loss program that includes a detox day (which consists of a juice day or a rice day). It is a guilt-free, well-balanced portion controlled meals plan that helps you to eat just the right quantities.
A typical day will include three meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner) and two healthy snacks, which are cooked fresh daily. Meals are capped daily at 1200 kcal for women and at 1500 kcal for men and come in four different menus: Standard, Vegetarian, Vegan or Vegetarian with Fish. You can choose between a 5-day or a 7-day program, the latter including a detox day.
